Hi there! My name is Ms. Lauren Litcofsky. I teach Economics & Personal Finance in the Social Studies department at West Bladen High School. I joined the staff at West in December 2022. I am excited continue working at a great school with amazing staff for the 2023-2024 school year.
My students teach me new things everyday and being in the classroom is one of the most rewarding things I have ever done. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns about me, this website and its contents, or if you would just like to share! I love to hear from students, parents, and other educators! Happy Learning!

I grew up in New York State, in the beautiful Hudson Valley. I spent my summers swimming in the pool and reading anything and everything I could get my hands on. I learned to cook and love to try new recipes.
I worked in retail/business from 2007 - 2015 selling hardware, lumber, doors and windows, training employees, and managing. I moved to South Carolina in April 2015 and began teaching at Crestwood High School in Sumter, SC that fall. I taught at Crestwood for 7 years before making the move to North Carolina in 2022. I taught at Anne Chesnutt Middle School from July until December 2022. |
I graduated from the State University of New York at New Paltz in 2011 with a degree in Adolescent Education: History, and a minor in psychology. I completed my Masters in Instructional Technology from Coastal Carolina University in May 2018. I am currently enrolled at UNC Wilmington to complete my Instructional Technology Facilitator certification and plan to graduate in May 2024.
